True to its name, the Benchmade series consists of handcrafted boots made in classic English Tradition. Starting more than three centuries ago, the term benchmade was not lightly used and products were expected to meet high expectations. Here at Oak Tree Farms, we are committed to producing boots that embody the standards of the term Benchmade. Working diligently to bring back this standard of excellence, each boot in our benchmade collection is made by hand, by our own craftsmen, and in our own studio. We start with the finest leathers available and build our boots with classic welted construction. Compared to gluing the sole of a shoe to its upper, our classic welted construction consists of sewing a heavy-duty leather sole directly to the upper. Because of this welting process, each boot has the ability to be re-soled, if ever the time comes. The heels of our boots are made from stacked leather as opposed to plastic, pre-made heels that are commonly used in the industry. In addition, each boot is lined in cowhide and has a sewn in cushion insole for added comfort and support.

At Oak Tree Farms, we care just as much about the construction of the boot as well as its signature style. You yourself have probably already noticed the special allure and unique look achieved in the finishing. This process consists of washing and tumbling the leather before and after construction. We then apply our secret technique of hand finishing, using our own developed blend of organic dyes and washes. The end result is the understated, elegant and tasteful product you see here. With a one-of-a-kind look, these boots are not massed produced, and can sometimes be hard to find. But just ask our customers, they are definitely worth the wait.
